One Oak Farm, Liverpool

A modernist extension to an RIBA Manser Medal shortlisted house.

We usually only work on developments of our own rather than undertaking contract work but when we were asked to get involved in this small development we couldn’t resist.

Working with the original scheme’s architect shedkm, we built an extension to a 17th century farmhouse that was originally developed in 2004. This created further living and bedroom space that works seamlessly with the existing buildings. Using bespoke linear black bricks for the outside leaf of the external walls required very precise setting out of each brick. The finished project was subsequently shortlisted for the national Brick Awards.
